A review of Paramore’s new album After Laughter

I discovered Paramore years ago while I always heard of their songs on the radio and enjoyed them, I officially didn’t become a Paramore fan until they had Decode in the Twilight Saga Twilight soundtrack. After that, I became a huge fan of their music. I bought all of their albums and went on a listening spree. Ever since then I have been listening¬†to them. Through all the shakeups of the band itself.

On to the review….

I absolutely¬†love After Laughter, its a fresh new take on indie pop music and I love it honestly am living for it right now. I love all of the songs. They each tell a story and are beautifully told through this album. My favorites right off the back after listening to it about 5 times over would be Pools which I am obsessed with because of the background¬† noise of the song, Rose -Colored Boy which¬†is a happy- make- you- want- to- dance song, Fake Happy which¬†starts off as a sad ballad, and the goes into a more happier tone, Told You So¬†is a really catchy song, and of course Hard Times¬†as it was the first single out of their album to have a music video. Honestly, though I really like each song and they¬†each have the band’s heart and soul in them.

Paramore is back and stronger than ever!!

Everything, Everything movie review. Beware of Spoilers!!!

First off I want to say I never read this book before. I usually read the book before seeing the movie of a book adaptation, but I was unable this time around. I will be reading the book now because I am interested in what they left out. I actually really liked the storyline and the premise behind this tale. I honestly thought this was going to be like Me Before You or The Fault in Our Stars. Instead, I was pleasantly¬†surprised that no one died in this film. ¬†Just to be prepared, I brought a pack of tissues to the early screening I attended last week. I wasn’t sure that I would need them or not.

It was a really cute movie! I liked the characters and their story. However, there were somethings that did not add up. Like the fact that the main character Maddy played by Amanda Stenberg easily applies and gets a credit card just only turning 18 years old. Also the fact that when Maddy and Olly played by Nick Robinson take off to Hawaii they rent out what looks like a nice place and honestly looks like an Air B&B house. Let’s be real in order to book a nice house or condo you have to be at least 21 and there both 18 years old, so that wouldn’t add up. Also the fact that they show Olly in what seems to be a rental car. First off I believe you have to be 21 and show proof of insurance and a credit card in order to rent a car.

Even with those things on my mind about the movie. I still liked it well enough to recommend it. Hopefully, the book will explain some things that I feel needed more of an explanation.  As for the music played in the film. I really liked the songs they played in the background and I want to buy the soundtrack.

If you saw the movie, let me hear your opinions of it in the comment section below:

Music Mondays- Week 1

I decided that since I listen to a lot of music constantly, I should do a weekly series with songs I am in love with currently or just love in general. I will try and keep up with this for as long as I can. I might take a break for two weeks because of the Spring semester coming to a close, but I thought it would be cool to share some of the music I listen to. I always like hearing suggestions for new music to listen to, so if you have some suggestions please comment the artist/band or song down below!

-Thanks and have a lovely Monday evening.

In no particular order here is some music that I was listening to this past week.
